Double entry in phone book on HTC Inspire

My wife and I have recently purchased 2 HTC Inspire phones and have had all of our contacts transferred from our previously used phones.   On my new phone, when I look at the list of contacts, I see two entries for each contact.  One entry has a “blacked out” picture of the contact, and the entry directly below that shows the same name and phone number with the symbol for the SD card to the left.   I know that one set of contacts is stored on the internal memory of the phone and the second set of contacts is on my SD card in the phone.   Since this makes my total list of entries in the phone book twice as long as it needs to be, is it possible to eliminate this “double” entry ?  I don’t need to actually “remove” the second list from the phone, but it would be nice if I didn’t see so many contacts when I look up a phone number.   I might add, that my wife’s phone has only one list appearing on her phone.   Thanks for your help.   Hanagan

You can use the open network at work, too, as well as your home, a business, hotel, McDonald’s…wherever. ;)

Re: Sporadic GPS Signal on HTC Inspire

I had a phone (not Inspire) that did that. The folks at AT&T said that if that was the case, there is something wrong with the gps function on the phone and told me to return the phone.

Re: Any ideas when the LG Thrill 4g will be out

Looks very cool, actually. However, it looks sort of different for the phone being an LG – I suppose they’re stepping up with HTC and Samsung for the larger smartphones. I’d also like to know when this will be released, after looking at this thread.

Re: HTC Inspire doesn’t recognize Micro SD card

Try re-seating the card again, to make sure it has good contact.  Make sure the card works on another device, as its possible the card itself may be damaged or corrupt.  You can also try a factory reset on the phone, to see if its a software issue.  Otherwise, its possible the card tray may be damaged, in which case you will need to get a replacement phone.
