Using a data cable, I transferred a couple of Android games (APK files) from my computer to my Thrive. I placed them in the download folder. How do I access these games on the Thrive? They don’t show up on the downloads list.

Re: Any New HTC phones coming soon?
October 3rd, 2010
jedwan att is woefully behind in Android phones. I am hoping that this all changes with the intro of WP7 and the loss of Iphone exclusivity. As for Android 2.2, I think only the Samsung Captivate offers it. I think that you buy it with 2.1 and then att offers a free Froyo download. The Samsung forum here seems to have lots of complaints about the download process bricking devices. I am not sure when this will come directly from att with Froyo baked in.
Sirius XM Android app hits the Market
May 29th, 2010
admin That’s right, we’re downloading the brand new Sirius XM app to our favorite, not-at-all-fragmented Android handset as we speak. Sure, we don’t actually have a paid satellite radio subscription, but if you hit up the source link you can sign up for 7 days free while you multitask it up against Robo Defense on your own phone. There’s no mention on the download page of specific handset compatibility , so let us know if you have any trouble running the app on that Motoblur phone your mom bought you. SlingPlayer Mobile for Android goes to private beta?
May 7th, 2010
admin Android’s quickly becoming the elephant in the room for Sling Media, so we’re delighted to hear today that the promised Android client of SlingPlayer Mobile is apparently entering a private beta period as we speak — according to a tipster over at Phandroid , anyhow. It seems that some members that signed up to Sling’s beta program have been contacted recently with a link to the download and a request that they not discuss the app or the beta program (so much for that), so if everything goes really, really well, we might see a release before too long. The thought of this thing running on the EVO 4G just blows minds, doesn’t it? SlingPlayer Mobile for Android goes to private beta? originally appeared on Engadget on Thu, 06 May 2010 13:16:00 EST.
