While 4G is indeed meant to refer (in the big picture) to the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards (as the successor to 3G which arrived in the early 2000s, which succeeded 2G in the '90s, etc.

February 6th, 2011 admin Admittedly, this isn’t the largest nor the most detailed picture we’ve ever gotten out of a leak, but at least it’s something. A Google cached version of Samsung’s official user agent browser shows an entry for a Corby II model, the successor to 2009′s Corby — a cheap, colorful full touchscreen device intended to do business in places where full-fledged smartphones could not. It’s identified as the S3850, the S3850L, and the S3853, presumably for different markets around the world with different radio and software requirements, but beyond that, very little is known; if we had to guess, we’ll probably get full disclosure on this one at MWC in a few days’ time.
