Samsung’s Infuse 4G coming to AT&T May 15th for $200
May 6th, 2011
admin We’ve known Samsung’s Infuse 4G was coming to AT&T since the day we got our grubby mitts on one at CES, and now it’s finally here. Samsung’s svelte superphone with the dazzling 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display is launching May 15th on AT&T for $200 on a two-year contract. Keep it locked right here, as more pics and a hands-on with Sammy’s hot new handset are on the way. Behind that sizable screen real estate, the Infuse 4G packs HSDPA Cat 14 and HSUPA Cat 6 radios, a 2GB microSD card, 1.2 GHz processor, and Android 2.2. Sammy also gave it an 8-megapixel camera in the back that does 720p video and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter — all in a handset that’s 9.24mm thick in the bulge at the bottom and 8.9mm thin most everywhere else. Full details are in the PR after the break. BlackBerry Curve ‘Apollo’ leak provides image, details, no relationship status
January 14th, 2011
jedwan “Lower-mid end of the lineup… decent specs… aggressively priced.” Not exactly the descriptors which dreams are made of, but that’s the wording BGR is using to describe its other leaked BlackBerry device today ( Dakota being the other). A 480 x 360 resolution screen of unknown size, 800MGhz Tavor MG-1 CPU, 512MB RAM, a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording, 1050 mAh battery, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, NFC, GPS, and BlackBerry OS 6.1 to put everything in check. It all serves quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE and tri-band UMTS / HSPA 7.2Mbps. The keyboard, we’d assume, is pretty darn snappy. The price and release date, should this apparent leak come to fruition, is still unknown. Hulu Plus headed to Android, no promises about when
January 8th, 2011
admin Well, here’s a bit of welcome news from Samsung’s press conference , though it’s got little to do with Samsung itself — Hulu Plus has finally been confirmed for the Android platform. There’s been some friction between Hulu and Google as of late, but it seems preferred partner Samsung is helping to work those differences out, as Hulu CEO Jason Kilar demoed the code-complete app running on this Galaxy S smartphone. He didn’t provide a release date, though. Drat. Hulu Plus headed to Android, no promises about when originally appeared on Engadget on Thu, 06 Jan 2011 20:31:00 EST. Dell Venue announced for the US, will be sold unlocked
January 8th, 2011
jedwan We knew the Dell Venue was coming stateside, but now we know it. Dell has announced the phone for our fine country at its CES 2011 press conference , although it failed to mention a price, a release date, or anything else very helpful. Right now Dell doesn’t have a carrier partner, so they’re planning on selling the handset unlocked from Dell.com. Apparently they’re flirting with the idea of a T-Mobile version, but the unlocked model won’t have the T-Mobile 3G bands — basically, it’s an unlocked AT&T phone that AT&T hasn’t blessed. Oh, and just in case you forgot the specs: WVGA 4.1-inch AMOLED screen, 8 megapixel camera, Android 2.2, and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8250 processor. Got it? Good, now we wait.
