Looks like some of the Skype crew might’ve had a sleepless night to please owners of the Nexus S 4G . If you’ll recall, June 30th saw a major update to its Android app enabling video chat on four devices; although the Nexus S was part of the club, its door was locked for Sprint’s 4G variant. That’s quickly changed, however, as the team’s set loose a hotfix to grant it access — this despite initially stating we’d have to wait for a “future release .” You can grab the app from the Android Market if you haven’t yet, and be sure to let us know how it goes in comments. Oh, and for those anxious Thunderbolt owners? We’d recommend not holding your breath until after the 4th of July holiday. Re: HTC Freestyle Disappointment

admin If you’re just posting to the HTC forum, I would not count on a timely response from a company internet forum. Try to contact HTC via phone or email. Everything I have read here and other places indicates that HTC is responsive to both emails and calls, and will at least give you a reply (although it might not be the answer you want). http://www.htc.com/www/CA_Hotline.aspx http://www.htc.com/www/CS_Mail.aspx I’m not particularly surprised that the Freestyle is a disappointment. A phone released with a brand new, unproven OS, and an OS which has not had much publicity (and therefore possibly not much financial backing from its creater) seems a bit risky. But I’ll agree that HTC has a responsibility to ensure that its products meet the quality standards of its other devices, even if its not the original source of the OS software.

Is my HTC Inspire eligible for warranty replacement?
June 15th, 2011
admin I have only had it for 2-3 months and there are absolutely no scratches on the back and front. The problem is that it would randomly disconnect me from service and wifi when other devices literally a few feet away don’t have such problems. Does that make it eligible for a replacement? Also if it is, will the replacement have scratches on it? It would suck to trade a phone with no scratches on it for one that does. Thanks in advance!
