I’ve never heard anything about that. However, if your wife constantly has the Yahoo! Mail app running at a consistent pace and frequently checking for new mail updates, that will eat away at her data plan. I think the Quantum has the ability to deactivate the data network (3G). She can deactivate the network when she would like to use Wi-Fi only.
